Custodial/Janitorial Associate - Pooler, GA
Position: Custodial/Janitorial Associate
Location: Pooler, GA
Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay Rate: $16.50 per hour
Overview:
Join a local warehousing facility in Pooler, GA as a Custodial/Janitorial Associate! This is a great temp-to-hire opportunity with an excellent company.
Main Duties:
- General cleaning of the warehousing facility
- Clean restrooms and mop floors
- Replace paper towels and empty trash cans
- Keep break room clean by mopping, sweeping, and dumping trash cans
- Check warehouse trash cans periodically and maintain outside areas
- Clean offices, dust, sweep, mop floors, empty trash, and vacuum as needed
Requirements:
- Prefer at least 2 years of janitorial/custodial experience
- Ability to adapt in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
- Ability to train on high-reach lift truck for overhead cleaning
- Must be flexible and able to work any shift/weekends
- Must be a team player
- Ability to train on a floor scrubber and in the safe handling of chemicals such as caustics and acids
- Ability to safely learn to use a pressure washer
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English at a level that facilitates understanding of job terminology
- Ability to comprehend and follow written and/or verbal procedures or instructions
- Ability to work safely and lift 50 lbs, including kneeling, bending over, squatting, stooping, and carrying
- Ability to work in a warm and dusty environment
- Ability to plan and organize to maximize job efficiency
- Ability to work accurately and in a timely manner
Education and Experience:
- High school graduate or equivalent required
- Previous warehousing experience is a plus
