Job Title: Forklift Operator
Location: Aurora
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday-Thursday 6am-4:30pm OT Friday If Needed
Pay: $18.00-$19.00 based on experience
Kelly Services is seeking a reliable and motivated Forklift Operator to join our team. In this role, you will support all aspects of material handling, including shipping, receiving, and movement of materials for jobs in progress and completed jobs. You’ll play a key part in keeping our operations moving safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support production by packing, counting, and moving materials, components, and finished goods
- Unload steel trucks using a tow motor
- Supply materials to production teams as needed
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for discrepancies and damage
- Store materials accurately by part number and/or description
- Sign for incoming and outgoing deliveries
- Maintain accurate and organized shipping/receiving records
- Create UPS shipments as needed
- Operate forklifts and overhead cranes safely (certification provided)
- Use production orders to locate, pull, and verify materials
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to read and follow safety procedures and blueprints
- Prior sit-down tow motor experience (certification required – client will test)
- Willingness to become certified in overhead crane operation (client will train)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent math skills
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Ability to perform repetitive motions, including bending, lifting, squatting, pushing, and pulling
Work Environment & PPE Requirements:
- Safety glasses required and provided
- Steel-toed boots
- Must be comfortable sitting or standing for long periods
