Kelly Services, in partnership with our growing client who specializes in customer manufacturing, is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to join their team. The Mechanical Assembler will be responsible for the layout and fabrication of components using schematics to cut and/or weld components from raw metal materials to create finished products. Additionally, the assembler will be involved in assembling various mechanical components for custom equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with production and engineering teams to ensure system requirements are achieved.

  • Interpret and follow process flow and engineering diagrams.

  • Construct metal components based on engineering drawings using devices such as saws, plasma cutters, and basic power tools.

  • Mount fabricated and acquired mechanical components utilizing lifts or hoists if needed, including shafts, levers, and bearings.

  • Put together packaged components which include modular insulated room panels.

  • Adhere to safety protocols and practice 5S and Lean techniques.

  • Travel as needed for certain tasks.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • At least two years of experience in the manufacturing or assembly of commercial equipment.

  • Mechanical aptitude and general building skills.

  • Good understanding of machines and tools including their design, function, repair, and upkeep.

  • Capable of operating independently, with guidance, and as part of teams.

  • Eager to grow and develop; a background in construction is a bonus.

  • Experience in welding carbon, stainless, and aluminum sheet, pipe, and tube using MIG or TIG machines is advantageous.
