At Kelly, we’re passionate about helping you find a job that works for you. How about this one? We’re seeking a Designer/Drafter to work at a premier local manufacturing company in Grand Forks, ND. 

Position Summary:
The Designer will apply sound mechanical engineering and design principles to create approval and fabrication drawings. Involved in the entire design process, including conceptual model creation to production-level design and detailing.

Job Details:
•    Temp to hire opportunity with a growing, premier, local manufacturing company
•    Monday-Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, typically can have half day on Friday
•    Around $20.00 – $25.00 per hour, depending on experience

What’s a typical day as a Designer/Drafter? You’ll:
•    Customize products to meet customer specifications
•    Propose product changes for added value
•    Collaborate with engineering for custom designs
•    Ensure manufacturability of designs
•    Communicate with purchasing and other departments
•    Generate shipping documents
•    Address design or production enhancements

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
Basic Qualifications:
•    Associate degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
•    Proficient in CAD-based drafting software
•    Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
•    Knowledge of design and drafting principles
•    Strong collaboration skills
•    Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical documents
Preferred Qualifications:
•    Experience with SolidWorks
•    Understanding of metal fabrication processes
•    Fluent in ERP system navigation
