Job details
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Production Technician. This is a hands-on role that offers the opportunity to learn valuable skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a temp-hire role, working day shift for a leading manufacturing company in Rochester.
Responsibilities:
- Clean parts using solvents, cleaning chemicals, and manual methods like steel wool and sandpaper.
- Deburr and polish parts according to instructions and routing.
- Sandblast, paint, and assemble parts as required.
- Assist the shipping department in maintaining inventory.
- Prepare parts for shipment to outside services or customers.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Contribute to a team-oriented and productive environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a machine shop environment preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Comfortable working with tools and machinery.
