Part-time Sample Preparation Lab Technician-Oklahoma City, OK
Contract-to-Hire
Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday, 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Pay Rate:$16-18 per hour dependent upon level of education and experience
Kelly Science & Clinical is seeking a part-time detail-oriented Sample Preparation Lab Technician to join our client’s laboratory team in Oklahoma City. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and managing samples for testing, ensuring accuracy and consistency in all laboratory processes.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare samples in accordance with standardized laboratory protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to prevent contamination.
- Accurately document all procedures, sample information, and test data.
- Collaborate with laboratory team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely testing.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Calibrate and maintain lab equipment as required, reporting any malfunctions or issues to supervisory staff.
- Participate in quality control procedures to maintain high standards in sample testing.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional laboratory or technical training is a plus.
- Experience working in a laboratory setting or familiarity with lab practices.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow precise instructions and document procedures accurately.
- Proficiency with standard computer software, including Microsoft Office.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
