Job Description: Patient Account Representative/Billing Coordinator
Location: Statesboro, GA
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Range: $16-$18 per hour

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Patient Account Representative/Billing Coordinator to join our team in Statesboro, GA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing patient accounts, providing exceptional customer service, and assisting in the coordination of billing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
Phone Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to patients by answering phone calls related to billing inquiries.

  • Address patient concerns and de-escalate situations effectively, particularly when dealing with billing disputes.

  • Process payments over the phone and ensure patient account accuracy.

  • Follow up with patients to resolve issues that cannot be addressed immediately during calls.

  • Amend patient account information as needed to ensure correct billing to their insurance provider.

  • Efficiently redirect internal calls to the appropriate personnel.

Billing Coordination Responsibilities:

  • Enter and correct account information to rectify claim errors and ensure accurate billing.

  • Support the billing process by collaborating with other departments and staff to resolve any discrepancies.

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

  • Ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism.

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in all aspects of billing and account management.

  • Experience in a healthcare billing environment is preferred.
