2nd shift – Direct Hire – Maintenance Technician 
Location: Wadsworth, OH, US
Hours: 4:30p-3am Monday to Thursday 
Salary: $25.00 to $31.00/hr. + $1 shift differential

A leading manufacturer of heavy-duty, stainless-steel clamps and couplings is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join its 2nd shift team. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance activities supporting production operations


  • Ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently; communicate with maintenance across shifts


  • Coordinate with production teams on downtime repair estimates


  • Conduct electrical installations/repairs: outlets, lighting, fans, and other fixtures


  • Diagnose problems, repair/replace parts, and test machinery and equipment


  • Handle electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, single/three-phase controls, and PLC troubleshooting


  • Perform mechanical repairs of production machines


  • Troubleshoot electrical systems up to 480V using test equipment


  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams


  • Support engineering in installing and debugging new automated machinery


  • Follow safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and PPE use


  • Assist with additional daily maintenance tasks as needed

Requirements:

  • Associate degree or apprenticeship in maintenance technology preferred


  • High school diploma or GED required; trade certifications considered


  • 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting


  • Metal stamping, forging, or forming experience highly desired


  • Strong knowledge of electrical theory, motor controls, hydraulics, and pneumatics


  • Proficient in troubleshooting and maintaining industrial equipment using manuals and diagrams


  • Team player with solid communication and problem-solving skills


  • Must meet physical demands and work a 4-day, 10-hour shift (Mon–Thurs)

Work Environment:

  • Onsite schedule: Monday–Thursday, 4:30 PM–3:00 AM


  • Physical demands: climbing stairs/ladders, lifting up to 50 lbs, using PPE


  • May assist other departments in a manufacturing environment
