Kelly Services is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Temp Accountant to join our Shared Services Team in Seneca Falls, NY. This 6-month contract position will support financial reporting related to fixed assets and general accounting close activities. Job Title: Temp Accountant – 6-Month Contract
Location: Seneca Falls, NY (US-NY-Seneca Falls)
Pay Range: $35–$40/hour
Employment Type: Temporary – 6-Month Contract


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses


  • Record fixed asset acquisitions, transfers, depreciation, and disposals


  • Monitor capital projects and prepare CIP reconciliations


  • Lead PPD Insurance charge-outs in collaboration with Treasury/Tax teams


  • Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures


  • Participate in physical counts and tagging of fixed assets


  • Administer RFID equipment and software


  • Research reconciling items and recommend resolutions


  • Respond to inquiries from departments and entities


  • Support internal/external audit requests and ensure SOX compliance


  • Perform special projects and ad hoc analysis as needed


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting


  • 3–5 years of accounting experience, with a focus on fixed asset accounting


  • Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel


  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and consolidation software (OneStream/Hyperion a plus)


  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills


  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment


  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset


Additional Information:

  • This is a temporary position, expected to last 6 months


  • Comfortable working in a global shared services environment
