Mechanical Engineer – Prototype & Fabrication
The Prototyping Team is responsible for unblocking the intricacies of Autonomous Mobility. Our team is a technical hub to resolve challenging engineering and design problems in a highly cross-functional environment. Within the Prototyping Engineering team, you will be called to develop and design new ideas in a fast prototyping environment.
Responsibilities:
- Design, in CATIA V6, prototype hardware and electromechanical systems
- Generate 2D drawing packages for fabrication and assembly
- Evaluate the dynamic, static, structural and thermal-mechanical performances of mechanical assemblies
- Optimize the design and build of our Prototype Development Fleet
- Collaborate with experts in AI, Mechatronics, Computer Vision and Robotics from all teams throughout the company
Qualifications
- Strong basis of Mechanical Engineering and Physics
- Experience with 2D drawing packages, including GD&T Design with CAD tools, such as CATIA V6
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering
- At least 2 years relevant experience
Bonus Qualifications
- Integrating electromechanical systems
- FEM Simulation
- Cinematic and Dynamic Simulation
- Software: SOLIDWORKS, SimWise4D, or similar MATLAB, Simulink
- Prototyping experience
- Automotive or Motorsport experience
