Salary: $100,000-120,000 DOE

 

Are you a scientifically driven chemist who thrives on solving complex analytical challenges? We are seeking an Analytical Scientist to join our collaborative drug development team, where you’ll apply your expertise in LC-MS/MS, NMR, and chromatography to uncover critical insights into small molecule pharmaceuticals. This is a hands-on, data-driven role that plays a direct part in accelerating the path from molecule to medicine.


What You’ll Do

  • Lead method development and validation for small molecule analysis using HPLC-MS/MS (QQQ, QTOF) and NMR in a GMP-compliant laboratory.


  • Perform structural characterization, impurity profiling, and quantitative analysis to support regulatory filings and R&D efforts.


  • Execute and troubleshoot routine analysis using HPLC, LC-MS/MS, GC-MS, and NMR techniques.


  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to design tailored, scientifically rigorous studies.


  • Review analytical data for technical accuracy and regulatory compliance in line with ICH, FDA, and GMP guidelines.


  • Support equipment qualification, maintenance, and continuous lab improvement efforts.


What You Bring

  • Education: B.S. to Ph.D. in Chemistry or a related scientific field.


  • Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience in an analytical laboratory; GMP or pharmaceutical experience strongly preferred.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Hands-on experience with HPLC, LC-MS/MS, NMR, semi-preparative chromatography, and lyophilization techniques.


  • Familiarity with GC-MS, FTIR, and various extraction/sample prep methods (solid phase, dilution, etc.).


  • Strong understanding of chemical structures, reactivity, and safe lab practices.


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for reporting and documentation.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and scientific writing skills.


  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
