Shift: Monday-Friday, first shift, 8am-4:30pm
Pay: $20/hr-$25/hr
Contract: 6 months
Job Title: Lab Technician (Contract Employee)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Lab Technician to join our Conley team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting samples, analyzing substances, and ensuring the accuracy of test results. This role requires a strong understanding of laboratory procedures, safety protocols, and chemical analysis techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct chemical analysis following standard laboratory procedures.
- Prepare chemical solutions, reagents, and samples for analysis.
- Operate laboratory equipment, such as spectrophotometers, chromatographs, and automatic titrators.
- Record, analyze, and interpret test results to ensure accuracy and compliance to specifications.
- Maintain detailed documentation of all experiments, procedures, and findings.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory standards, including proper handling and disposal of chemicals.
- Assist in quality control if needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in a laboratory setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory safety practices and chemical handling procedures.
- Proficiency in using laboratory instruments and analytical techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Work Environment:
- Laboratory setting with exposure to chemicals and laboratory equipment.
- Use of protective gear such as gloves, safety goggles, and lab coats is required.
- May involve standing for extended periods and handling delicate instruments.
Employment Type: 6-Month Temporary Position
