Job Title: Housekeeper
Location: Savannah, GA
Pay Rate: $14 – $18 per hour
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join our team in Savannah, GA. In this role, you will perform cleaning and housekeeping services in various areas such as kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, guest rooms, laundry and storage rooms, offices, and common areas. Your primary responsibility will be to provide a safe, sanitary, and healthy environment for employees, students, and guests.
Responsibilities:
Clean floors, dust surfaces, wash towels, empty trash, and make beds.
Greet guests at building entrances to ensure proper hospitality and respond promptly to their needs and issues.
Report and return any guest property found in rooms after checkout.
Monitor and maintain cleaning and janitorial supplies, manage property inventory, and organize shelves.
Clean, disinfect, and store all equipment properly at the end of each shift.
Follow daily housekeeping checklists for detailed cleanings.
Report any property damage to the supervisor.
Work collaboratively with a team of housekeepers.
Ensure the proper functioning of washing machines, dryers, pressers, steam cleaners, and other equipment.
Promptly report any maintenance, electrical, mechanical, or structural repair needs to the supervisor.
Adhere to safe practices and OSHA policies and procedures.
Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
At least five years of residential housekeeping experience.
Reliable vehicle.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous housekeeping/environmental services experience.
