Production Technician I
Location: Coppell, TX
Company Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Production Equipment Technician to join our team in Coppell, TX. Our client specializes in archival storage and retrieval of computer-generated data, focusing on maintaining high availability and reliability of production equipment.
Responsibilities:

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment.

Troubleshoot equipment problems and respond to Technical Support calls promptly.

Log all support calls into the technician tracking system (e.g., FIIX) to ensure accurate time and parts management.

Install electrical wiring and controls for production-related equipment.

Install, troubleshoot, and repair computer hardware related to production equipment.
-
Assist in relocating production equipment and support the installation of new equipment as needed.

Track parts usage and provide inventory level suggestions to management and Inventory Analyst.

Foster team spirit and morale, contributing to a positive quality of work-life.

Provide feedback on junior technicians’ performance appraisals to leadership.

Ensure compliance with maintenance records per OSHA and EPA requirements, including equipment tracking databases.

Adhere to all safety procedures consistently.
Qualifications:
-
High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational education preferred.

Vendor/equipment repair certification preferred (e.g., Blue Crest, Bowe, Buhrs).

3 years of experience in a production environment with equipment repair knowledge.

Proficiency in operating and repairing high-speed production equipment.

Strong oral and written communication skills.
-
Ability to take direction and work effectively under time constraints.

Capability to stand, lift, carry, and move 25+ lbs. throughout assigned shifts.

Shift: Monday through Friday, 9:30 PM to 6:00 AM; flexible during peak times (6:00 PM to 6:00 AM).

Hourly Rate: $22.00 – $25.00 per hour, dependent on experience.

Annual Bonus: Up to $1,250.00 discretionary bonus.
