Shift:
- 1st Shift: 7:45 am – 8:00 pm ($16/hr)
- 2nd Shift: 7:45 pm – 8:00 am ($18/hr)
- 2,2,3 rotating schedule
Pay: Weekly pay every Friday!
Job Summary:
Kelly® Professional & Industrial is hiring a dedicated and proactive Assistant Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team in Statesville, NC. This role involves handling and processing materials, assisting machine operations, and ensuring efficient production processes. The ideal candidate has a strong attention to detail, is adaptable, and adheres to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Material Handling: Cut open 55lb resin bags with a breakaway knife and load them into mixers; assist with lifting bags from the pallet.
- Machine Operation Assistance: Support machine start-up procedures and execute production tasks efficiently.
- Equipment Maintenance: Responsible for vacuum filter changes and the movement of rolls from machines to the packing line (up to 50lbs).
- Production Support: Feed recycled materials into waste hoppers, ensuring efficient waste management.
- Assembly Tasks: Use hand tools and equipment to assemble products and manage loading/unloading.
- Documentation and Data Entry: Conduct computer data entry for measuring and weighing tasks.
- General Cleaning: Maintain cleanliness required for a safe work environment, including safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel toe shoes.
- Dress Code Compliance: Wear jeans and t-shirts, ensuring attire is clean and properly fitted. No jewelry allowed.
- Smoke-Free Policy: Adhere to the campus’s tobacco- and smoke-free policies without exceptions.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience with carding machines, non-woven processes, or in a warehouse setting is a plus.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts and start immediately.
- Willingness to work on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule.
- Must wear steel toe shoes for safety compliance.
