Now Hiring: Quality Control Inspector (Temporary – 1-2 Months)
Location: Brookfield, CT
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Compensation: $20/hour
Duration: 1–2 Months (Filling in for Leave of Absence)
Start Date: ASAP
Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a Temporary Quality Control Inspector to support our Quality Assurance team during a short-term leave of absence. This is a full-time, first-shift position with the opportunity for overtime. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with precision inspection tools and a solid understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform physical/mechanical inspection of incoming, in-process, and outgoing products and materials per drawings and purchase order specifications.
- Verify dimensional conformance using precision measuring equipment following documented procedures.
- Ensure all operations are complete by reviewing work order travelers and purchase order requirements.
- Accurately record inspection data and maintain documentation in accordance with procedures.
- Identify and report non-conforming materials or processes to the inspection supervisor.
- Complete Material Discrepancy Reports (MDRs) as required.
- Ensure proper identification and labeling of products throughout production stages.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Proficient in GD&T principles – a must for interpreting and applying complex design specifications.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow precise procedures.
- Familiarity with standard inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision instruments.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder (ITAR Compliance Required).
Additional Details:
- Breaks: Two paid 10-minute breaks per day.
- Lunch: Unpaid 30-minute lunch break.
- Work Environment: Manufacturing/production setting.
- Overtime: Offered based on workload.
