Job details
We are seeking a dedicated Associate Maintenance Technician to join our team in Juncos, PR starting at $19.04ph. Under general supervision, you will execute basic maintenance activities, operate assigned equipment, and manage facility, utility, and HVAC systems in accordance with established guidelines and operating procedures. You will conduct basic troubleshooting to identify root causes and appropriate corrective actions for equipment/system problems.
MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR 12 HOUR NIGHT SHIFTS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute routine maintenance activities or operate and monitor plant support equipment with limited supervision from more experienced personnel.
- Assist in maintaining an up-to-date spare parts inventory system for equipment/systems.
- Perform various housekeeping activities, including keeping work areas clean and cleaning equipment.
- Ensure accurate completion of operational log paperwork, daily log files, and work order documentation.
- Participate in a comprehensive training program to develop knowledge in maintenance and operations and other areas of the plant.
- Complete all work in accordance with CFRs, cGMPs, SOPs, job plans, and company policies.
- Maintain an up-to-date cGMP training book.
- Assist in the development, revision, and updating of related SOPs or job plans/work plans.
- Evaluate current maintenance procedures and recommend changes to optimize the maintenance program.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of utility, process, and HVAC-related equipment/systems.
- Plan and schedule work activities with operations staff to minimize production impact.
- Support on-call response by maintaining a pager or cell phone while on-call.
- Develop basic proficiency in advanced maintenance technologies such as alignment, balancing, thermography, oil analysis, ultrasound, electric motor circuit analysis, metrology, or vibration monitoring.
Education/Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or High School diploma/GED with 2 years of directly related experience, or a certification directly related to the role and 2 years of directly related experience.
Competencies/Skills:
- Knowledgeable in one or more of the following areas: Utility Plant Operations/Maintenance, Process Equipment/System Maintenance, HVAC Operations/Maintenance, or Fire Systems.
- Strong maintenance technician competencies.
- Proficient reading/writing skills to perform and document maintenance operations.
- Good oral communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to interact constructively with peers and teams.
