Kelly® Professional & Industrial is looking for an Assistant Machine Operator to join our long-time print manufacturing client in Plymouth, MN. If you’re ready to make a change, we’re ready to help.
 
Why you should apply to be an Assistant Machine Operator:

  • Pay starting at $22.50/hour

  • 2nd Shift Monday-Thursday 3:30 PM – 1:00 AM. This is a full-time position, Monday-Thursday, 36-hour weeks.

  • Train on first shift for 2-3 weeks on a 6AM-3:30PM schedule.

  • Temporary to possible hire opportunity, with potential for growth into higher-level machine operation roles.

Job Summary:  Assists machine operator by performing the following duties.  Help operator with set-ups, gather components, quality checks, hang rolls and packaging.  Assist with light maintenance.  Operates machine in absence of operator.
 
What a typical day as an Assistant Machine Operator looks like: 

  • Assists operator in monitoring operation of equipment to ensure efficient and effective operation.

  • Assists operation Analyzing, identifying and correcting problems using appropriate tools and resources.

  • Ensures finished goods meet or exceed specifications.

  • Assists operator in ensuring equipment is properly maintained.

  • Take direction from operator.

  • Read job ticket/BOM to ensure correct components are gathered.

  • Inspect/measure product to verify specifications are met using quality tools.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

  • Have a High School Diploma or GED

  • Related work experience

  • Be able to regularly lift 25-50 pounds

  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions

  • Simple mathematic skills
