Why you should apply to be a Production Lead:
- Pay Rate: $25-$28/hr
- 3rd shift schedule: 10pm – 6am

Production Lead duties:
- Responsible for scheduled work through the production floor and company goals and metrics
- Confer with the supervisor at the beginning of the shift to schedule shift workflow, ascertain production expectations, and ‘hot jobs’ ensuring shift production expectations are met
- Assign the work and set priority for people in daily communication meetings
- Answer questions throughout the shift on workflow, provide best manufacturing practices and solicit input on production processes from techs
- Resolve problems throughout the shift, alerting the supervisor to issues, and recommending resolutions for the future
- Use Lean Manufacturing techniques to set up cells for efficient production as needed
- Support staff and enforce operating policies and SOPs
- Incorporate the “5S’s” and Lean Manufacturing Systems into their area
- Cross shift communication
- Coordinate management objectives with the work floor to meet company goals by communicating company policies, expectations, and changes. Be a champion to employees on company processes and expectations
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives within their cells
- Maintain visual management boards within their cells
- Fill in production roles within their cells when needed (if certified)
- Acclimate new employees to the area and assure they are aware of safety procedures, documentation processes, and general performance expectations
- Help with training employees on processes within the area. Provide consistent expectations and procedural training
- Evaluate employees on training progress, retrain as necessary, and certify employees when appropriate
- Ensure that all staff are properly trained according to ISO standards and all training forms are completed and filed in a timely basis by working with the Training Coordinator
- Participate in candidate interviews and support Production Supervisors with the selection of new hires
- Support Production Supervisors on performance appraisals, discipline, tracking attendance, coaching, etc.
- Other duties as assigned
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Hold a High School diploma or GED
- Possess working experience with manufacturing and production processes and equipment, preferably in the printed circuit industry
- Have computer skills including Excel, Word, and ERP systems
- Have experience directing and leading the work of others in a clear, concise, and professional manner
- Adhere to employee rules and regulations leading by example in the areas of integrity, punctuality, attendance, and reliability
- Have strong analytical and investigative skills, mature judgment. Must be a problem solver and a decision maker
- Have the ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed to support business needs
