Job details
We are seeking a skilled and innovative Machine Designer – EDM Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with wire EDM equipment and a strong understanding of programming and operating versatile, computer-controlled machines. This role involves manufacturing high-precision metal components and tools across various industries, including mold and die manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:

EDM Machine Operation:
- Operate wire EDM equipment that moves along four independent axes to manufacture metal components and tools accurately.
- Conduct taper cuts on conductive materials, including alloys, superalloys, aluminum, brass, steel, and titanium.
- Operate wire EDM equipment that moves along four independent axes to manufacture metal components and tools accurately.

Design and Programming:
- Design and program EDM processes to create prototypes and production runs.
- Select appropriate wire types (brass wire and coated wire) based on project requirements.

Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that all manufactured components meet quality standards and specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of EDM machines to ensure optimal performance.

- Work closely with engineering and production teams to develop efficient machining solutions.
- Communicate effectively with team members to optimize workflow and production processes.

Qualifications:

Experience:
- Proven experience operating wire EDM machines, with a solid understanding of EDM processes.
- Familiarity with programming CNC machines and knowledge of machining principles.

- Proficient in using precision measuring instruments and tools.

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in machining, engineering, or related field preferred.
