Job details

Kelly Science is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist for a client located in Georgia, VT.
 
Salary: $70,000-75,000/year with an additional $4800 added to the base salary for night shift differential
Shift: Rotating 2-2-3 schedule; 6:00pm-6:00pm
Employment Type: Full Time
 
Job Responsibilities include:

  • Conduct initial assessments and gather detailed information when deviations occur, ensuring immediate actions comply with established procedures.

  • Maintain a consistent presence and provide valuable input and support to the operations team.

  • Review equipment logs and cleaning records to ensure accuracy and compliance.

  • Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives by providing quality support to plant operations, assisting in investigations, and collaborating with plant personnel to address compliance issues.

  • Handle, communicate, and escalate food safety, quality improvement, and cGMP compliance issues arising from each shift.

  • Offer recommendations on disposition decisions related to shift-specific issues.

  • Identify opportunities for improvement and support the ongoing enhancement of the Quality Management System.

  • Conduct quality audits focused on adherence to regulatory standards such as FDA, cGMP, SQF, and HACCP, as needed.

 
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific related field

  • 5 years of experience working within an FDA regulated environment, 1-3 of those years being within quality assurance.

  • Strong knowledge of SQF, HACCP, and cGMP requirements

  • Ability to organize multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
