START NOW as a Facilities Maintenance Technician:
The Facilities Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized facility. This role is essential for ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all employees and visitors. Key responsibilities include keeping the grounds and indoor facility clean, garbage collection and disposal, operating a floor sweeper, mopping floors, removing debris, picking up spills, and keeping storage areas tidy while focusing on safety by preventing trip hazards and potential accidents due to clutter.
Pay and Shift Information:
- Pay Rate: $17.13 per hour
- 1st shift: 7:00am – 3:00pm, Monday – Friday
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain the exterior of the building including walkways, parking lots, loading docks, and outdoor storage areas. Dispose of waste and recycling materials in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Perform general janitorial duties inside the facility including sweeping, mopping, dusting, sanitizing surfaces, cleaning bathrooms, breakrooms, conference rooms, common areas and offices. Will operate a floor sweeper (training provided).
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to promote a safe working environment. Report any safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, or maintenance needs to the supervisor promptly.
- Ensure that cleaning supplies and equipment are properly maintained and stored.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management to support warehouse operations, including cleaning and organizing as needed.
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of previous janitorial experience working in a similar environment such as a distribution center or manufacturing facility.
- Willingness to work primarily outdoors on a daily basis
- Good verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Availability to work flexible hours as needed.
