Job Description:
Accounting
- Prepare journal entries, various working papers, schedules, charts, and spreadsheets.
- Review and analyze financial summaries, internal reports, budgets, or records for accuracy, proper account coding, and compliance.
- Analyze and reconcile the general ledger, revenues, expenditures, and accounting/financial reports ensuring proper amounts, receipt, and classification.
- Resolves discrepancies and makes the necessary corrections.
- Prepare, analyze, and review budgets
- Analyze and reconcile cash balances and bank statements.
- Prepare, review, and examine financial statements and other financial reports.
- Assists in evaluation internal controls in the operations.
- Conducts audits as needed.
- Design, recommend, and/or implement changes in accounting systems, accounting policies, and working with other fiscal and program staff as necessary.
Business Office
- Oversight and management of insurance policies, including workers comp
- Support role for projects and information to internal companies
- Organize and maintain filing systems; maintain records related to specific areas of assignment.
- Oversight of employee drug testing
- Assists in creating contracts and agreements for multiple facets of the company.
Human Resources
- Benefits administration, including health and 401K
- Payroll
- Management of personnel files
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of work experience in accounting including in-depth understanding of general principles and procedures accounting, auditing, budgeting, and bookkeeping.
- Understanding of accounting software as well as ability to learn new software systems.
- Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills.
- Perform a variety of accounting, budget development, analysis, monitoring, and expenditure work as well as fiscal analysis and monitoring work related to financial and accounting transactions.
