Kelly® Engineering is seeking a Product Improvement Engineer – Electrical for a direct-hire position at a leading client in Bridgeton, Missouri. The Product Improvement Engineer II – Electrical will play a pivotal role in enhancing electrical products and driving innovation.

Position Summary
As a Product Improvement Engineer – Electrical, you will be responsible for identifying product improvements, designing electrical assemblies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and ensure product reliability. This is an exciting role for an engineer eager to work on high-tech equipment and drive impactful change within the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and implement improvements and cost-saving opportunities for electrical and electronic assemblies in released products

  • Collaborate with R&D, Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to ensure product success

  • Select parts and manufacturing processes to ensure reliable product functionality that meets project scope criteria

  • Conduct analysis and testing to validate electrical concepts and designs

  • Design electrical assemblies, including PCBs and cable assemblies

  • Troubleshoot and resolve design issues across existing product lines

  • Manage and lead multiple projects concurrently

  • Travel 5-10% as required

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Product Support, Project Engineering, or Electrical Engineering

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

  • Proficiency with ECAD software and strong problem-solving skills

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Effective communication abilities at all levels within the organization

  • Proactive, creative, and self-starting mindset

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience designing and manufacturing PCBAs and cable assemblies

  • Proven project management experience

  • Familiarity with CAD software

  • Experience in Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE)

  • Background in Manufacturing Engineering and Lean Manufacturing

  • Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action through formal or relevant experience
