Kelly Science & Clinical is currently seeking candidates for a Direct Hire R&D Formulation Chemist position at a polymer company in the Dallas area. The overall responsibility of this role is the development of new products, manufacturing processes, and test methods and to provide technical service to the company’s customers.
Additional Job Responsibilities:
- Manage the product development workflow by overseeing the projects assigned to the R&D Chemists
- Manage Product Development activities ranging from the bench scale to first-run plant capability
- Develop QC test methods for the production of new products
- Conduct routine physical property testing (tensile, elongation, etc.) as part of new product and process development activities
- Develop and/or modify analytical and physical property testing methods
- Collaborate with production personnel on scale-up activities and process troubleshooting
- Work with the sales team to investigate and solve customer complaints
Job Requirements:
- BS degree in Chemistry or related discipline
- 2-6 years of industry laboratory experience in silicone formulation and product development
- Method development and process troubleshooting experience
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
