Location: On-site – Des Plaines, IL
Salary: $50,000–$60,000 base + Tiered Commission Structure
Travel: ~35–40% (20+ trade shows annually across the U.S.)

Position Overview
As a Sales Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing 20–25 key partner accounts, traveling to trade shows and client sites, and driving new business development. This is a full-time, on-site, individual contributor role based in Des Plaines, IL — with no direct reports. You’ll work closely with internal teams to align sales strategies with company goals and ensure a high-quality customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Build a sales portfolio focused on 20–25 partner accounts
- Build and execute account plans to grow existing relationships and win new business across the U.S.
- Participate in 20+ trade shows annually across the U.S.
- Travel approximately 35–40% of the time (including occasional overnight stays, particularly in New England)
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support clients and align with business goals
- Track KPIs and present reports and forecasts to senior management
- Identify new stakeholders and uncover client needs through a consultative sales approach
What You Bring
- 3–5 years of sales experience, specifically in selling physical products – B2B Sales experience
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong client relationship and consultative selling skills
- Ability to travel frequently within the U.S.
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Data-driven mindset with a focus on results
- Experience working independently while staying aligned with a larger sales strategy
Qualifications
- 5+ years of outside sales experience
- Outside sales experience from manufacturing industry
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
- Familiarity with sales planning and CRM systems
- Comfortable presenting to internal and external stakeholders
