Job Title: Building Technician – Dust Control
About the Position
We are seeking a skilled Building Technician responsible for managing dust control in compliance with OSHA standards to ensure a safe and clean production environment.
Responsibilities
- Execute tasks based on assignments or verbal instructions.
- Perform repairs on building and equipment using hand and power tools and a variety of equipment (such as scissor lifts and forklifts).
- Gather necessary supplies and materials for daily operations.
- Assist in troubleshooting building system issues.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in work areas and equipment.
- Adhere to all prescribed safety rules and regulations.
- Report any improper operations, faulty equipment, defective materials, or unusual conditions to supervisors.
Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry objects up to 40 lbs.
- Capability to push/pull heavy objects.
- Must be able to stand and work with hands for extended periods.
- Familiarity with the department area.
- Capacity to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Nice-to-Haves
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Interpersonal and communication skills.
Working Hours & Compensation
- Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm
- Salary: $21-$13 per hour
