Kelly Engineering is hiring an experienced Electrical Panel Design Engineer for a 6 month contract to hire opportunity with our Gallatin based client.
6 month contract to hire
Travel 30%
Targeted pay rate: $60/HR
You will provide technical expertise and leadership in the design, troubleshooting, and installation of complex industrial finishing, dispensing, general automation systems. Responsible for the design of the electrical drawing package, component specification, software programming, training, and professional development within the team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical control panel design and a thorough understanding of relevant industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design electrical schematics using AutoCAD Electrical.
• Proficient in applying NEC and UL 508 standards specifically to the design and construction of industrial electrical control panels.
• Manage electrical aspects of engineering projects, collaborating with Operations, Mechanical Engineering, etc.
• Design and program software for PLC, HMI, Servo controls, and more.
• Integrate robotic systems, particularly Fanuc, ABB, Motoman, Kuka.
• Conduct system I/O checks and commissioning.
• Provide training and guidance to team members.
Requirements:
• Must have at least 3 years of electrical panel control design experience.
• Experience with AutoCAD electrical. Eplan experience is a plus.
• Experience in machine vision, Rockwell Software, and robot programming.
• Willing to travel up to 30%.
• Strong leadership, communication, and customer relationship skills.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite.
