Logistics Coordinator
Join our dynamic team as a Logistics Coordinator in Weston, FL and play a crucial role in optimizing our transportation and distribution systems. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with experience in logistics who are ready to take on new challenges in a supportive and fast-paced environment.
Job Specifications:
- Location: Weston, FL
- Pay Rate: $24-$28 per hour
- Shift: Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Analyze and optimize transportation and distribution systems for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure the timely and economical delivery of products.
- Review and propose adjustments to transportation rates and regulations.
- Evaluate freight classifications and tariff rates to enhance operational efficiency.
- Plan and coordinate operations for fleet management, including acquisition, scheduling, maintenance, and disposal of trucks.
- Hire and manage relationships with third-party transportation providers.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics, including knowledge of domestic and international logistics.
- Experience in inventory management is advantageous.
- Familiarity with transportation regulations and freight classification.
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
- Experience in fleet management and coordination with common carriers.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented with a strong ability to manage procedures and routines effectively.
