Compensation: $26/hr
Duration: 3 Month Project Assignment

Position Summary:
We are seeking a Mechanic to join our team for a short-term project in Pooler, GA. This role is critical to maintaining the efficiency of our machines and tools, preventing malfunctions, and ensuring a high standard of product quality. As a full-functioning technician, you will be responsible for a wide range of maintenance, repair, and service activities, adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).
Primary Responsibilities:
- Understand and follow industrial safety practices and regulations.
- Utilize Root Cause Analysis to investigate operational errors and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop and coach others on Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs).
- Perform diagnostics, lubrications, changeovers, overhauls, and emergency repairs on machines.
- Handle preventive maintenance and document all work performed accurately.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and prioritize repairs.
- Participate in developing maintenance plans using CMMS / SAP systems.
Requirements:
- Technical diploma preferred but not necessary with relevant experience.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varied environments.
- Willingness to travel for business training purposes.
- Basic computer knowledge and ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Previous experience in a food manufacturing facility or similar industry as a maintenance mechanic.
- Strong understanding and application of advanced troubleshooting techniques, including pneumatic/hydraulic and plant systems maintenance.
Experience:
- 2+ years of professional maintenance experience.
- 2+ years of manufacturing experience.
Skills:
- Proficient in CMMS, blueprint reading, and shop drawings.
- High level of organizational, reading, writing, and advanced mathematical skills.
- Ability to work independently, multitask, and operate standard trade tools and machinery.
