Job Posting: Manufacturing Plant Mechanic

Location: Pooler, GA
Compensation: $26/hr
Duration: 3 Month Project Assignment
Start Date: ASAP

Position Summary:
We are seeking a Mechanic to join our team for a short-term project in Pooler, GA. This role is critical to maintaining the efficiency of our machines and tools, preventing malfunctions, and ensuring a high standard of product quality. As a full-functioning technician, you will be responsible for a wide range of maintenance, repair, and service activities, adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Understand and follow industrial safety practices and regulations.

  • Utilize Root Cause Analysis to investigate operational errors and recommend corrective actions.

  • Develop and coach others on Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs).

  • Perform diagnostics, lubrications, changeovers, overhauls, and emergency repairs on machines.

  • Handle preventive maintenance and document all work performed accurately.

  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and prioritize repairs.

  • Participate in developing maintenance plans using CMMS / SAP systems.

Requirements:

  • Technical diploma preferred but not necessary with relevant experience.

  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varied environments.

  • Willingness to travel for business training purposes.

  • Basic computer knowledge and ability to communicate effectively in English.

  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing facility or similar industry as a maintenance mechanic.

  • Strong understanding and application of advanced troubleshooting techniques, including pneumatic/hydraulic and plant systems maintenance.

Experience:

  • 2+ years of professional maintenance experience.

  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience.

Skills:

  • Proficient in CMMS, blueprint reading, and shop drawings.

  • High level of organizational, reading, writing, and advanced mathematical skills.

  • Ability to work independently, multitask, and operate standard trade tools and machinery.
