Title: Formulation Technician I
Location: Pleasanton, CA
Shift: Monday-Friday, 6 AM-2:30 PM
Pay Rate: $23.25/hour
Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking a Scientist for a long term 12-month contract position (with the ability to convert) at a cutting-edge biomanufacturing company in Pleasanton, CA. Essential Functions:
- Manufacture oligonucleotides/custom primers for the biotech industry by adhering to established protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Operate semi-automated and automated lab equipment and evaluate non-routine test results to determine product status.
- Engage in highly repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Apply scientific principles for problem-solving and troubleshooting. Show independent judgment in selecting solutions while providing logical data-backed decision options.
- Contribute feedback and ideas for lab techniques, protocols, and processes.
- Balance multiple tasks, demonstrating knowledge of basic lab techniques and computer skills.
- Complete thorough documentation, including issue reporting and deviations to Leads/Supervisors.
- Strive to meet output goals, improve time management and engage in cost-improvement initiatives.
- Communicate effectively about problems/questions and collaborate with team members.
- May be required to undertake additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Science discipline preferred OR
- Relevant manufacturing lab experience with Associates or High School Diploma/GED
Working Conditions:
- Team-based laboratory environment with the requirement to lift up to 20 lbs.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods and safely handle chemicals and hazardous materials.
