Job Opening: Press Brake Operator – Carson, CA (Temp-to-Hire)
Pay Rate: $23.87/hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM
Training Requirement: Must be able to train on 1st shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM) for the first 2 weeks
Duration: 2+ Months, with potential for extension or permanent hire
We are currently seeking a Press Brake Operator for a night shift position in Carson, CA. This is an entry-level opportunity perfect for candidates who are mechanically inclined and eager to build hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely set up and operate press brake machines according to production specifications
- Use computer-aided manufacturing software to monitor and adjust machine settings
- Load and unload raw materials, and maintain accurate Shop-Trak transactions for job status and scrap
- Perform machine calibration, cleaning, and basic maintenance tasks
- Conduct periodic checks to ensure equipment is operating efficiently and troubleshoot issues as they arise
- Identify product defects and report nonconformities to Supervisor or Quality Inspector
- Coordinate with peers on workflow and material movement throughout production stages
- Maintain clean work areas and adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing appropriate PPE
- Assist in minor machine repairs and preventative maintenance tasks
- Support cross-training efforts and assist peers on other equipment as needed
