Job Title: Accounting Assistant
Location: Lyndhurst– On-site, 5 Days/Week
Position Type: Temp-to-Hire
Salary: $42,000 – $45,000/year
Dress Code: Casual
Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support our Accounting Manager and a team of four. This role involves a mix of accounting and administrative duties and plays a key part in helping the team stay organized and responsive. This is a temp-to-hire position with long-term growth potential for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:

Enter and process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently

Run and distribute recurring and ad-hoc accounting reports

Process customer credit card payments
-
Respond to customer billing questions and assist with account inquiries

Perform light collections and follow up on past-due accounts

Send out customer notices and statements

Maintain organized digital and physical files
-
Provide general administrative support to the accounting team
Requirements:
-
Bachelor’s degree required (Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred)

1+ years of accounting or administrative support experience preferred

Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software a plus

Strong attention to detail and data accuracy

Excellent communication and customer service skills
-
Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
