Microbiology Technician
Kelly Science and Clinical has an opening for a Microbiology Technician for our client in Tampa, Florida. This client is a company that’s leading the way in the medical device industry. In this role, you will work with the quality group to run microbiological analyses.
Schedule: On-site Monday to Friday 7am to 330pm
Length of assignment: until the end of 2025, likely to extend through 2026
Pay: $20.00 an hour
Responsibilities This role will be responsible for supporting:
- Biological Indicator Testing for raw materials, components, finished product and validation sterilization cycles
- Responsible for the sterilization of laboratory equipment and microbiological media by autoclave sterilization.
- Maintain laboratory glassware and supplies. Support laboratory and environmental monitoring terms as directed by leadership.
- Review microbiology and environmental testing for the finished product
- Perform data into GLIMS
- Perform visual inspection of media fill units for turbidity/microbial presence
- Maintains the inventory of laboratory supplies and raw materials for release
- Incubate/read samples
- Assist in Environmental monitoring
EXPERIENCE
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience in computer operation and basic word processing programs.
- Ability to communicate and work well with others; good oral and written skills. Excellent aseptic technique
- Familiar with microbiological testing techniques concerning product testing.
- BS in Microbiology or other related science with 0-3 years of industrial experience.
