Material Handlers needed in the following areas:
- Bolingbrook
- Romeoville
- Joliet
- 1st Shift
- 2nd Shift
- $17.50/hr – $20.50/hr
- Selected candidates must have REACH TRUCK and/or SIT DOWN FORKLIFT experience
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Handle all inbound and outbound freight properly and orderly.
- Maintain warehouse area with orderly stacking and good housekeeping.
- Ensure all shipments are correctly staged, checked, and loaded properly.
- Properly store stock in the warehouse.
- Provide material handling services for warehouse shipping and receiving activities.
- Assist the Warehouse Manager to ensure efficient warehouse operation.
- Operate REACH TRUCK and / or SIT DOWN FORKLIFT
- Use computers and handheld RF equipment.
- Load and unload trucks/trailers safely using proper procedures.
- Work flexible 10 to 12-hour shifts and not afraid of heights.
- Pick and move stock weighing 1 lb. to 50 lbs. multiple times.
- Process outbound cross-dock freight.
- Store stock properly and maintain organized stacking.
- Verify shipment accuracy against paperwork for all deliveries.
- Complete daily forklift maintenance inspections.
- Handle customer products properly and orderly.
- Report accidents or damage to the Shift Supervisor immediately.
- Maintain access to dock doors.
- Possess a sense of urgency, accountability, and work with limited supervision.
- Exhibit good communication, problem resolution, and people skills.
- Be flexible with overtime and shift coverage.
- Utilize PC skills.
- Build pallets and break down stock for orders.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Warehousing certifications are a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret general business documents.
- Write reports and correspondence effectively.
- Present information clearly to managers, clients, and customers.
- Knowledge of Business Operating Systems, Internet, Word Processing, and Spreadsheet software.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Work comfortably in an indoor environment with physical activity requirements.
- Work under stressful situations with cognitive skills for multitasking.
- Maintain 20/20 corrected vision.
- Must be in sound physical health.
