Kelly Science & Clinical is currently seeking candidates for a Direct Hire Product Line Manager position at an oilfield chemicals company in Houston TX. The overall responsibility of this role is to develop, commercialize, and manage the lifecycle of the company’s products tailored for unconventional oil and gas operations. Qualified candidates will have experience aligning technology development, market needs, and operations to maximize value for operators and service companies.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the product strategy from ideation to market launch, continuous improvement, and retirement 

  • Lead initiatives to identify market gaps and opportunities to fulfill customer needs

  • Work closely with R&D, supply chain, and operations teams to develop new products

  • Develop pricing strategies, market rollout plans, and performance metrics

  • Track product performance in the field, ensuring reliability and ongoing enhancement

  • Deliver technical and commercial training to sales and operations teams

  • Study market trends, competitors, and customer behavior to guide decisions

Qualifications:

  • BS/MS degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering or related discipline

  • MBA with product management training and/or PMP certification preferred

  • Minimum of 5 years of product management experience within the oilfield services industry

  • Oilfield chemistry knowledge including friction reducers/polymers, surfactants, scale inhibitors, clay control additives, biocides, and cementing chemistries

  • Direct field experience and/or previous engineering roles in unconventional resource projects preferred

  • Proficiency with data analysis (Power BI, advanced Excel) and project management tools (JD Edwards, Zoho)
