Bindery or Press Operator – Print Production
Location: Rochester, NY
Pay Range: $17.50-$20+ (based on experience)
Shifts Available:
- A Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
- B Shift: Sunday – Thursday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM

Position Overview:
A busy commercial print production facility in Rochester is seeking experienced bindery or press operators to support fast-paced, high-volume printing operations. These are not general manufacturing or warehouse roles — we’re looking for individuals with prior experience in printing, bindery, or finishing environments who are comfortable operating specialized print machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate print production equipment, including folders, cutters, collators, booklet makers, and/or printing presses
- Review job tickets and ensure accurate materials and settings are used
- Monitor machine operation for quality and troubleshoot issues as they arise
- Conduct in-process and final quality checks on printed materials
- Package, label, and stage completed work for shipping or further processing
- Perform routine maintenance and basic cleaning of machines
- Record production output and quality control data
- Support other production functions as needed to meet deadlines
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience operating bindery or press equipment in a print production setting
- Mechanically inclined with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Reliable and punctual with a positive, team-oriented attitude
