Title: Lab Technician
Location: Garland, TX
Duration: 6 months +
Pay Rate: $19.00/hour

Responsibilities

  • Cleans, maintains and calibrates standard equipment and maintains a clean and safe working environment.

  • Completes appropriate forms and documentation regarding tasks and requests; receives direction from other technicians or chemists on specialized or complex issues.

  • Performs basic calculations to prepare, perform, and conclude samples.

  • Performs basic technical tests and analyses based on formulas and project requirements; tasks are more standard and require limited judgment within established guidelines.

  • Prepares basic samples, materials, equipment, and other required tools for laboratory tests or development.

  • Performs coating spray application.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, basic math skills with ability to learn software used in a lab

  • Computer knowledge for basic inputting, communication, and data analysis

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to complete work in a timely manner and to work independently and within a team

Additional Information

  • Onsite position / Monday – Friday / First Shift / Start time is flexible (between 6am – 9:30am)

  • Potential temp to perm for the right candidates, no guarantees

  • Start date is ASAP (once background check and/or drug screen are clear)

  • Visa sponsorship is not available, now or in the near future, for this position
