Location: Rockland, MA

Regular Hours: Monday–Friday, 1:30 PM – 11:00 PM

Summer Hours (CNC Department):
?• Monday–Thursday: 1:00 PM – 11:00 PM
?• Friday: 11:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machine Setup Operator / Programmer to set up and operate CNC machining and turning centers. This position is responsible for producing precision parts to specification and supporting the production team by assisting in setup, inspection, and troubleshooting.
Primary Responsibilities:

Set up and operate various CNC machining and turning centers
-
Perform tool offsets, edit programs, and make necessary adjustments to ensure parts meet print tolerances

Select proper materials as specified in shop orders
-
Set up drill and tapping machines within the work cell as needed
-
Check all parts against print dimensions using precision inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, indicators, and comparators

Conduct first-piece and in-process inspections to maintain quality standards

Maintain Statistical Process Control (SPC) data for each part
-
Move parts through production according to routing
-
Assist less experienced operators with setups as needed

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

Conduct daily equipment maintenance
-
Perform other related duties as assigned
Secondary Responsibilities:
-
Operate milling and/or turret lathe machines per part specifications
-
Set up drilling and tapping fixtures for other operators
-
Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly work area
Desired Qualifications:
-
High school diploma or vocational training required
-
3–5 years of experience in CNC machining, including setup and programming
-
Experience with Mori Seiki, Bridgeport, Nichols horizontal millers, and/or lathes
-
Strong understanding of blueprint reading and shop math
-
Proficient in using inspection equipment and tools
Training Requirements:

Quality system awareness

Hazardous waste handling and control
Physical Demands:

Must be able to sit, stand, bend, and lift up to 60 lbs.
