Now hiring a Forklift Operator for our client who is a leading beverage packer and co-packer!
Pay: $21/hr
Hours: 6am-2:30pm, Wednesday-Sunday
Location: Clackamas OR, 97015
Position Type: Temp to hire
Position Summary: The forklift operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a forklift in the warehouse as well as loading and unloading trucks. This position ensures all transactions are accurately entered into the existing ERP, moves materials both physically and in the ERP system to ensure location accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Moves lever and presses pedals to drive forklift and control movement of lifting apparatus.
- Inspecting the forklift before initial use.
- Fill and maintain all propane tanks and accessories.
- Prepare freight for transit, according to lot codes and proper rotation
- Load and unload trailers
- Examine materials for accuracy
- Compiles and maintains manual or computerized records such as material inventory, in process production reports, and status and location of material
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of experience working in a warehouse environment, food manufacturing preferred
- 1+ years of experience operating a Forklift (Forklift Certified, preferred)
- Experience with RF Scanners
- Possesses a high regard for safety in the workplace
