Position Highlights:
- Perform crucial blood collection tasks that demand knowledge of clinical science.
- Obtain specimens for laboratory testing, ensuring comprehensive patient care through precise phlebotomy techniques.
- Accession and manage samples in the VA laboratory information system for immediate and reference testing.
- Provide guidance to patients for proper specimen collection, contributing to quality healthcare.
- Foster positive relationships with patients and healthcare staff, enhancing overall experience.
- Assist in administrative support to maintain efficient operations in the drawing area.
Hours:
- Full-time: 5:30am – 2:00pm; Part-time: 5:30am – 8:30am
Pay: $23.08 + 4.93 H&W
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- One year experience in the last 3 years
- Certification preferred
- BLS (AHA or MTN)
