We are seeking a Lab Technician for a multi-year contract opportunity with a leading specialty chemical manufacturer. Look ahead with us and help shape innovative solutions to make our world more sustainable and life healthier, more vibrant and more comfortable.
Title: Lab Technician
Location: Lafayette, IN
Shift: Day (Mon-Fri)
Duration: Open Ended
Rate: $20/hr. or $41,600 annual equivalent + full benefits (PTO, federal holidays, medical/dental/health insurance, etc.)
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct analytical testing on incoming raw materials by various techniques such as, but not limited to, UV/Vis, IR, HPLC, GC TOC, and Microbial analysis.
- Sample weighing
- Sample receipt
- Completion of LIMS transactions
- Waste disposal
- Ordering materials
- Housekeeping
- Routine instrument calibration
- Assist in inventory
REQUIREMENTS
- Associate or Bachelors in science related discipline
- Basic experience of simple office / operational systems
- Works with guidance (but not constant supervision) to develop appropriate plans or perform necessary actions based on recommendations and requirements
- Works under guidance (but not constant supervision) to analyze data trends for use in reports to help guide decision making
- Works with guidance (but not constant supervision) to plan, organize, prioritize and oversee activities to efficiently meet business objectives
- Works with guidance (but not constant supervision) to develop, monitor, interpret and understand policies and procedures, while making sure they match organizational strategies and objectives
- The laboratory is a GMP environment
