Kelly Science & Clinical is currently seeking a Lab Technician for an oilfield chemicals manufacturing facility in Conroe, TX. As a Lab Technician you will perform a variety of analyses of oilfield samples in order to provide recommendations to address customers’ field-related issues. Ideal candidates will have knowledge of drilling fluids, cement, and/or completion fluids in addition to lab experience.
Additional Job Responsibilities:
- Conducts analysis of field samples including FTIR, viscosity, density, rheometry, and mud testing
- Review and interpret testing results to suggest solutions for customers to address field-related issues
- Maintains accurate records and test results
- Cleans, maintains and conducts daily lab equipment checks against calibration
Job Requirements:
- BS degree in Chemistry or related science is preferred
- 2-5 years of experience working in a lab and/or field operations
- Familiarity with API standards is preferred
- Positive attitude and strong teamwork mindset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- The ability to learn quickly, multi-task, and work with minimal supervision
This is a temp to hire position with a Monday through Friday, day shift work schedule. The pay rate for the position is $26-28 per hour based on applicable education and experience. If you meet the above qualifications, please submit your resume for immediate consideration.
