Kelly Science and Clinical is currently seeking candidates for a Manufacturing Lab Technician position at a medical device company in Houston TX. This overall responsibility of this position is to execute standard operating procedures (SOP’s) for manufacturing and support research and development (R&D) projects.
Responsibilities:
- Execute SOP’s to perform detailed manufacturing tasks independently and in a timely manner
- Perform complex molecular-based protocols with a high degree of quality
- Execute routine quality control inspections according to procedure
- Accurately record production and test records according to good documentation practices
- Analyze results, provide feedback, and report failures and deviations from processes
- Participate in quality investigations to resolve process and product issues
- Perform routine lab equipment maintenance and assist in troubleshooting equipment malfunctions
- Provide support on projects such as product, process, and test method development
- Work with R&D to resolve failures and make improvements
- Receive, inspect, stock, and organize production inventory and laboratory supplies
- Comply with all standard operating procedures, quality assurance, safety, and regulatory procedures
Qualifications:
- BS degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field is required
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant laboratory/manufacturing experience
- Aseptic processing experience with good manufacturing practices is preferred
- Ability to follow procedures and protocols with a high attention to detail
- Experience in laboratory methods/techniques associated with molecular biology
- Excellent team collaboration, communication and documentation skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Microsoft Word, and Power Point
This is a long term (~12 months) assignment with the potential to be hired based on individual performance and business needs. The work schedule is Monday-Friday day shift.
