Kelly® Professional & Industrial is seeking a Production Planner to join our manufacturing client in Franklin, NH.
Location: Franklin, NH
Pay Rate: $36 per hour
Schedule: 1st Shift, 7am-3:00pm
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Production Planner to oversee and manage the flow of materials through our extrusion operation. This role is critical for ensuring raw material availability, optimizing production schedules, and maximizing press utilization while meeting customer demand and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, organize, and manage production schedules based on customer demand, capacity, and quality standards.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks, part shortages, equipment maintenance, workforce issues, and shop capacity challenges.
- Provide commitment dates to customer service based on capacity using our MIS system.
- Analyze customer demand and adjust production plans as needed.
- Collaborate with manufacturing supervisors to assess production status, track schedule adherence, and identify issues.
- Communicate production plans clearly to all levels of the organization.
- Create and modify manufacturing strategies for both new and existing parts.
- Oversee a team of 20+ operators, including preparing work schedules, assigning duties, and recognizing performance.
- Review forecasts and safety stock levels to adjust production plans accordingly.
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to improve quality, safety, cost, and productivity.
- Maintain accurate production records and develop backup plans to handle unexpected demands or issues.
- Conduct yourself in a professional manner with a strong focus on appearance, accountability, and teamwork.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- College degree preferred or equivalent relevant work experience
- Strong independent work capabilities.
- Clear, effective written and verbal communication.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Experience in production scheduling and planning is a plus.
- Familiarity with 5S, lean manufacturing, or continuous improvement processes is desirable.
