Quality Technician
Location: Eastlake
Pay: $18–$20/hour (Depending on experience and skills)
Schedule: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Duration: 90-day (Temporary Help)
Kelly Services is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join our team in the Eastlake area. This ideal candidate will be familiar with basic inspection tools such as calipers and micrometers. You will receive hands-on training for approximately two weeks before transitioning to work independently. This position plays a key role in ensuring product quality and maintaining compliance with internal and customer requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Perform inspections of incoming materials, in-process parts, and finished goods.
- Use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.) to ensure conformance to specifications.
- Follow documented quality procedures during all phases of production.
- Maintain and calibrate inspection tools and measurement equipment.
- Record inspection results using Product Quality Plans (PQP), logs, and reports.
- Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI), First Piece Inspections, and in-process inspections.
- Assist with the documentation and disposition of non-conforming products.
- Prepare PPAPs and FAIRs for industrial customers as needed.
- Evaluate and process returned goods (RMA).
- Maintain compliance documentation (e.g., REACH/RoHS, California Prop65, Global Trade Agreements).
- Assist in developing and updating quality processes and workflows.
- Perform capability studies and gage R&R analysis as required.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Basic understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Skilled in the use of calipers, micrometers, and other inspection equipment.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality standards.
- Experience with quality tools such as PFMEA, APQP, control plans, and capability studies.
- Ability to work independently after training period.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
