Job Title: CNC Machinist – 2nd Shift
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 3:30 PM – 1:30 AM
Pay Range: $20.00 – $30.00 per hour + shift differential
Location: Commerce, GA
Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our 2nd shift manufacturing team in Commerce, GA. This position plays a key role in producing high-precision components used in critical industrial applications. You’ll work in a stable, well-established facility known for its commitment to quality, safety, and employee development.
Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate CNC machines for production runs

Perform milling, drilling, tapping, boring, and threading operations

Inspect parts using precision measuring tools to ensure quality standards

Conduct routine machine maintenance and make tool adjustments as needed
-
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions

Maintain accurate production records and part counts
-
Follow all company safety policies and maintain a clean, organized workspace
-
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors

Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
-
Minimum of 1 year operating 4-axis CNC machines and conventional turning equipment
-
Ability to read and edit CNC programs
-
Skilled in the use of micrometers, dial indicators, gauges, and calipers
-
Proficient in interpreting blueprints and maintaining work quality
-
High school diploma or GED required
-
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
-
Must provide own basic precision measuring tools after a 90-day introductory period
Physical Requirements:
-
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift throughout the shift
-
Regularly lift and move up to 35 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds
-
Must have good vision, depth perception, and hand-eye coordination
Work Environment:
-
Fast-paced manufacturing setting with exposure to moving machinery
-
Occasional exposure to heat, airborne particles, and lubricants
-
Personal protective equipment (PPE) required at all times
-
Noise levels may be high; hearing protection is provided
