Kelly is currently hiring a Field Service Technician to support a utility-scale solar farm located in Andrews, TX. This is a long-term contract role (3–5 years minimum) with strong potential for hire.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $40/hour with overtime opportunities (average 10 hrs/week paid at 1.5x)

  • Minimal travel (any required travel will be fully paid by Kelly; no per diem or vehicle provided)

Position Overview:
As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for service, maintenance, warranty remediation, and commissioning of solar energy systems and equipment. Work will be performed directly on-site at the Andrews, TX solar farm. Candidates must live within 1 hour of Andrews, TX.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform field service activities to ensure 99% system uptime


  • Diagnose and repair inverters and energy storage systems


  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electromechanical, and control systems


  • Conduct periodic and annual maintenance inspections


  • Maintain detailed service and maintenance records


  • Assist in developing maintenance programs and procedures


  • Perform start-up and commissioning for new PV inverter and energy storage installations


  • Inspect installations for quality and safety compliance (wiring, connections, mechanical conditions)


  • Power up systems, configure parameters, and validate performance


  • Monitor and optimize system performance and efficiency


  • Deliver accurate service reports and maintain excellent customer satisfaction

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED


  • Minimum of 1 year industry experience with commercial inverters

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2-year technical degree and/or industry certifications


  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills


  • Experience in the solar energy industry (service/maintenance focus)


  • Customer-focused with a professional demeanor
