What’s a typical day as an Avionics/Electrical Technician IV? You’ll be:
- Leading Operations: Providing leadership and technical guidance
- Testing and Troubleshooting: Performing operational tests and repairs on avionics/electronic systems
- Training Staff: Teaching installation and testing of components per specifications
- Ensuring Quality: Verifying the quality and efficiency of installations
- Technical Repair: Using repair techniques such as splicing, soldering, and pinning
- Engineering Compliance: Overseeing performance and compliance with engineering changes
- Documenting Work: Maintaining thorough records of all work performed
- Inspection: Pre-inspecting work to minimize rework and inspection time
What makes you a great fit:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required
- Experience: Six years in avionics/electrical and/or two years of accredited schooling plus four years related experience
- Licenses: A&P FAA Airframe and Powerplant license preferred
- Skills: Strong ability to repair, troubleshoot, and lead processes
