Location: Windsor, CT
Pay: Starting at $25 per hour
Training Hours: 1st Shift
Training Duration: Typically 4–6 months, depending on how quickly the individual picks up the pace and required skills.
Regular Work Schedule: 2nd Shift or Split Shift (Your Preference)

1st Shift Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (overtime available)

2nd Shift Hours: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM (overtime available)

Split Shift Option: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM (overtime available only on the back end)
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Worker to perform electrical and mechanical maintenance and repairs across our plant facilities, equipment, tools, and machines. The successful candidate will contribute to ensuring operational efficiency and safety in various hazardous environments.
Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues in manufacturing equipment.

Dismantle, repair, and assemble equipment using blueprints, manuals, and sketches.

Apply electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing principles to correct malfunctions economically.

Execute routine equipment modifications as directed by engineers.

Obtain fork truck and scissor lift licenses by passing required tests.

Climb ladders and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.

Operate in hazardous environments such as chemical and heat treat rooms.

Respond to alarms during off hours; coordinate with town police/fire department.

Work overtime with minimal notice.

Multitask effectively and promptly address equipment failures.

Read and interpret schematics, drawings, and diagrams; perform machine alignment checks.

Perform basic electrical wiring, plumbing, and welding tasks.
Qualifications:

Ability to work in demanding physical environments.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Effective communication skills to coordinate emergency responses.

Experience in electrical/mechanical troubleshooting preferred.
